Rigid Came

Rigid Came is a subset of Came construction referring to the specific material the came itself is constructed from.

What is Rigid Came?

Simply put, rigid came is any profile of came made from a stiff material like Zinc, Brass or Copper.

What's different about it?

The main difference with rigid came is the fact it's rigid! Lead Came is very soft and can't really hold its own weight in place. These metals are stiff enough to where they don't bend or flex easily and thus provide a stronger option. Though this strength comes with a trade off, requiring extra tools to work with it. While simple shapes can be bent by hand if required, complex shapes will require a Came Bender. You will also need to get a Came Saw or other metal saw to cut it.
