Foil Repair
Foil repairs are fairly straight forward and you don't have many options to pick from to achieve the repair. This page serves as an overview of all the types of repairs there is with detailed instructions being on another page to prevent this from becoming a massive wall of images and text.
Glass Repairs
Depending on the damage to the glass you have a few options....
Fake Joint Repair
Fake joints are just a means to cover the damage, this is entirely decorative as the broken glass will stay in place. Good for cases where the glass can't be replaced or the damage isn't large or complex.
Smash and Replace Repair
Smash and replace would be the most common option used for already greatly damaged glass or parts that aren't easily accessed from the outside edge. Whatever glass is already existing will likely be unrecoverable in any way, so don't expect to keep any of it.
Push and Replace Repair
Push and replace is the more delicate option to Smash and Replace but is much more difficult to do. This is for more sensitive works and parts that you want to try and keep intact, that are too small to smash or near the edge.
Replacing Foil/Hanging Points
Sometimes with foiled works the glass doesn't get damaged but only the foil does. These are the easiest fixes as they typically don't require any major tear down.
Edge Foil Repair
When the edge foil separates and/or tears away.
Hanger Repair
Hangers that have pulled away or otherwise failed.
Part Separation Repair
For when your project is having Foil Structural Issues.
