Types of Decorative Soldering

Decorative soldering can be broken down into three categories.

Additive Decoration

Additive decoration is where solder is added to an already completed bead.

Subtractive Decoration

Subtractive decoration would be the removal of solder from a completed bead.

Modified Decoration

Modified decoration has no change in the total solder applied but designs are put into the completed bead.
